Ten track collection of electronic experiments and proto-industrial explorations from Yugoslavian renaissance man, Mario Marzidovšek. Much of Yugoslavian cultural history has been obscured or outright erased following its breakup in the early 90s, though Marzidovšek seemed to have a Fluxus-like connection with the Mail-Art network that seemed to lend his various artistic works an international reach, while he also roamed all across Europe himself. The industrial underground is rife with autodidactic characters like Mario, and his experimentations here feel anything but parochial - you can hear the same transgressive and brutalist sonics as evident in aspects of Coil, Chris & Cosey, Severed Heads, while there's certainly minimalist aesthetics that made me think of Brunnen, Atman, Beequeen et al. It's both a punishing and invigorating collection, sort of punk in its fearless rejection of obvious form or function. All of these songs are all untitled, Marzidovšek clearly determined to remain as inscrutable as he was singular. Never complain, never explain, just keep pushing that envelope.
