Number five of superior electronic exploration from the yet-to-miss Gaia Tones crew. As on the earlier 12" outings, there's two lengthy tracks of de-pressured and near-dreamy minimal techno excursions with dub-inflections and no little spiritual bliss. I mean, they are called Gaia Tones after all... The duo follow the yin/yang format of their previous releases (do they make a track each? Who's to say?), the Yin of the A couched in water-y ambience, seemingly transmitted from the babbling brook of an imagined Amazon, which i'm to call Fern Gully Techno. The Yang of the B is a little more mechanistic though by no means anything other than soft-focus, something like a minimal rendering of Theo Parrish's jazz instincts alongside the accidental-techno of Popol Vuh's head-bending Train Through Time. Nicely spaced-out after hours, inner-thoughts action.
