Long-awaited reissue of BQ's second record, originally released in '84 via Recloose Organisation (Muslimgauze, Royal Family and the Poor, the Sudden Departure comp). Classic Qualk fair here - transmissions from an underground bunker/dispatches from the industrial frontline type business. At times bracing and harsh, sometimes restrained and brooding, then occasionally locks in on a killer groove which they ride out until their fancy takes them somewhere else. Always liked BQ for how sonically inquisitive they were, happy to walk down cul de sacs and endless roads just to see what's there. Perfect counterpoint to the O Yuki Conjugate record just out, and highly recommended if you're into Throbbing Gristle, Portion Control et al.
