Repackage of the essential 2011 compilation of the Dutch minimal wave pioneers - that original pressing is now going for silly money, so credit for Onderstroom for getting this back into print. Dutch minimal wave isn't exactly uncharted territory these days, but it doesn't make it any less vital. Icy, dystopic, slightly paranoid experimentations from 1980 never get tired round these parts, though it is weird to think of this kind of electronic music as 40 years old. It still sounds like a deadly future. And since 2020 has ushered itself in with the delightful prospect of nuclear war, i guess Nine Circles have timed this reissue perfectly. There are certainly worse things to soundtrack the end of the world...
