Another day, another Australian DIY heatseeker. Sharing members with Constant Mongrel, Terry, and The Shifters (i think), Primo's second album also shares a little of the same DNA, all spiky post-punk jangle rocking and sardonic gang vocal delivery, finding a sweet spot somewhere between 1980 and C86. Where Sogni differs slightly from the records of its peers is that it reminds me more of Olympia than it does the UK (or even Australia, ha!), conjuring a Neo Boys/K Records spirit that you imagine would find pride of place in Kurt's teenage diary. Super meldodic whipsmart indie rocking. Some might disagree, but I can never get enough of this stuff. All told, classic Upset the Rhythm business.
