The self-titled record he released as Lauten der Seele was an early 2022 highlight, what we've previously described as "both dream-like and sinister, an experiment in imagined nostalgia that feels cannily authentic". From where this music originates has always been a source of intrigue. Schoppik's inspirations have often seemed obscure and obscured, so a mix of this nature could possibly be read as an insight of sorts into his process. Or it might just be another set of red herrings. While Schoppik has never displayed an interest in explication, I don't believe his work to be abstract, either - this is impressionist composition, suggestive of a world just out of reach, still vivid yet still unspoken, something which this hour long mix brings ever more to the fore.
