To mark the release of his latest album - and the third record on the World of Echo label - Stefan Christensen has contributed mix 019 to the Inner World series.

If you've followed Stefan's work over the last decade, or kept up to date with his activities via his CSite Recordings imprint, you'll hear a number of familiar sounds and ideas here, as the mix takes a winding backroad tour through the frayed-edges of psych, folk, drone, avant rock and a little jazz. And a little more besides. The intention was to reflect on the music that had an impact on Cheap Things, or at least were present in the ether around its recording, and there's certainly evidence of a shared sensibility - this is music that is communal, open, and ostensibly progressive (without being prog!). Call it the portrait of the artist, or just more paths for inspiration.
