They made perhaps the best contribution to that collection, and continue that run of early inspiration here with another primo example of downhome and intimate lo-fi acoustic pop that feels very much born of the Australian tradition of such things. Listeners to Carla dal Forno's NTS show will know this sound well, a sub-genre in itself of a particular kind of lovely and lonely and soft-hearted singalong melancolia that's pretty much over before it's begun but the thought of which seems to linger on in a wistful daze long after. Undeniably pretty and wholesome fair that understands the compact pop form very well. No easy skill, and one that tends to breed adoration in its converts (that's who cares, actually). Fans of Cindy, The Gabys, the Garbage and the Flowers and The Shapiros will almost certainly have a new favourite to add to their mixtape arrangements.

FFO: Cindy, The Gabys, the Garbage and the Flowers, The Shapiros
