Beautifully packaged and sweetly intentioned (it's for charity!) compilation of all sorts of outerlying electronic action from the freshly minted Euphonic Rhythms label, who seem to share some kind of affinity/possible organisational connection with Hyperdub (i may have made that last bit up, but call it a hunch). There's a few big names here that drew me in straight off the bat, with Christoph De Babalon providing his unstoppable Terminator in the dance flex and Proc Fiskal delivering the trademark mutant 2step/grime hybrid ambience. Both entry fee-worthy alone. And then there's the rest, which skirts the gaps between those two while also pushing off into whole other realms of abstraction. Of particular note is Ondness' Kiteing, a 10minute Oval/Gas-like beast that's as heavy and complete as anything outta the Experiences Ltd stable, and the lost in Berlin feel of Ausschuss' Moonline 6a - both have commanded a good few reloads round here, not least the latter which i'd be happy to double in length. As a whole it stands nicely alongside that recent Kashual Plastik compilation. Roll on Vol. 2! Sold out at source btw.
At least 50% of the profits will go to the Trussell Trust, Migrants Organise and Resourcing Racial Justice...the rest for artists."
