The Grammy nomination for best packaging is in the post... Kashual Plastik's last comp, No Order in Destiny, came in a wooden sleeve, this one is wrapped in chicken wire, soldered at the edges. Judge a book by its cover. The outside represents what's within (not chickens). Side one is cold storage style minimal electronics. Dispatches from a snowed-over underground bunker business. Think Civilistjävel!, Uon, Exael et al. Things get mildly more hectic on the flip, all things being relative. Ghosts of Berlin. Anxiety in the War Room. You know. I recognise just a few names here - TRJJ from the incredible STROOM retrospective, and Al Chem from his release on Art Yard - most of the rest is new to me, some will be new to the whole world, since these are the first releases from these people. A mysterious selection of obscured origins, i'm not even sure why it exists (because: ART?), why it's all been enveloped together, but i'm glad of it. Edition of 300 i believe. Won't hang around long.
