Triple LP
MAGNETIZDAT DDR, the second Zonic project on the magnetic tape underground GDR after the book+CDs coupling “Lung. Performance. Widerstand” from 2006, is published as a book and 3x LP. Here, as here, the stylistic spectrum of the presented material of unorthodox punk extends with no wave bias, lo-fi experimental rock, idiosyncratic pop designs, darkwave as a sound and a basic feel, New Sorbian art, industrial, art crash and anticipated post rock, improvisational music and performance soundtracks to compositions based on the avant-garde. The triple LP, compiled by the editors Alexander Pehlemann, Ronald Galenza and Robert Mießner, is published with a 12-page booklet and was created in cooperation with the Portuguese project “Unearthing The Music”, whose designer José Mendes ensured the extraordinary design.
