We were due a compilation documenting all of the current action emanating from the hotbed of the Swedish underground, but who knew it would be on CD? Well, needs must, and a format is merely a conduit to expression. Because of their capacity, CDs are actually much better suited to a compilation and so it goes we've got 15 tracks that include all the names we've come to know and fawn over here - the relatively elder statesmen of Blod, Arv & Miljo, Sewer Election, Jon Collin amidst the bright young(er) lights of JJulius, Amateur Hour, Treasury of Puppies, Astrid Oster Mortensen++. The latter provides two tracks, in fact, the avant-folk layering of the verbosely titled Har ondt i halsen og går til biblioteket for at låne en bog a particular highlight. And of course, there are highlights everywhere - how could there not be - though i'd like to draw attention to the contribution of Charlott Malmenholt of Treasury of Puppies, a degraded blast of lo-fi churn which sounds mesmerising turned up loud in the shop.
