Taste is the solo project of Oli Lipton (Now, Cindy) born of countless after-hours time spent in his home studio and the hoarded recordings those efforts produced. 1/2 Fantasy splits two previously self-released tapes down the middle, side by side, to form a debut LP of sorts. It’s like summer wine and starshine on a night that lasts for years or just a few minutes. Habits, loves, money spent, Friday night, Saturday morning— a rock 'n' roll heart steps out with a Les Paul, a pen, and tongue firmly in cheek. Looking sharp and clean but feeling dirty, a hip priest Nikki Sudden if he cared to hone a craft.
1/2 Fantasy is released digitally and on vinyl on 29th May. The LP is pressed in an edition of 250, with the first 50 copies housed in a unique hand-stamped sleeve w/ lyric booklet, and available only via Bandcamp and World of Echo.
