Hard hitting collection of cuts from the alias of (supposedly) Russian producer Gesloten Cirke (itself another alias), which brings together a set of tracks made at various points over the last decade. Info on Ratsnake is relatively hard to come by, though Gesloten Cirke translates as 'closed circle', which probably tells you a bit more about what's being aimed at here. The 'mysterious producer' thing holds very little interest for me, but Just A Genesis stands above that nonsense, starting as a Detroit-inspired Drexciyan workout before mutating into slightly more introverted spaces on the second disc. Buttechno/Pavel Milyakov comparisons probably make sense, while its certainly worthy of investigation for the Berceuse Heroique and Trilogy Tapes heads.
