Recorded and self released in Montreal in 1984 by one Dan Foley, sweet rot feels like an apposite way of making sense of these four tracks of broken-down home recorded DIY muck, partially though crucially not exactly reminiscent of the likes of Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle and early Severed Heads. Kugelberg also described it as "industrial wank" and if that doesn't get your pulse raising then you might well be more dead than the 250 unsold copies of the original pressing that Foley trashed having got fed up with them propping up his bed for however long. So yeah, good luck finding an OG and be grateful for the work of CL/SR because this truly is brilliantly fried and art-damaged fuckery of the kind that hasn't really come our way since that absurd Industrial Sponge LP last year. Great find, and a chance to strike another curiosa from the list.

FFO: Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, Severed Heads, Industrial Sponge
