7"
International pair up between Knotwilg and Independent Woman for a super-limited 7" of lower-than-lo-fi noise-rocking from the great P Wits, who absolutely blaze across 13 minutes and two seamless tracks. Dunno what's going on exactly, but it's almost like *The Guitar* is making a comeback! This kind of scuzzed up, feedback drenched, near-psychedelic guitar has become increasingly prevalent this year, almost like a radical counterpoint to the avalanche of 'post-punk' indebted bands that have dominated the airwaves for the last short while (might be the moment to call time on that for a bit?). Not sure the guitar has much transgressive power left in the tank, but it certainly feels good to hear someone play this turned-up and recklessly. Definitely some spiritual alignment with the C/Site crew, particularly those great Headroom and Stefan Christensen records, and given where P Wits call home, i can feel the presence of Dead C in the room. More scorched earth 90s underground rock and roll for a 2020 world that definitely feels like it's been torched to the ground. Up with this kind of thing. Limited to 150 copies, sold out at source.
