From the label that gave us the new Blue Chemise LP comes this latest tape from French post-noise industrialists Opera Mort, which presents two tracks edited and mixed from a live recording in Brussels. Calling this a live album feels like a slight misnomer, though, in that great noise tradition, it does retain the physical qualities of a live performance, which i'd assume is the entire point of the exercise. There's some obvious nods to Coil in the warped and surreal vocal(isations), though there's also a half-submerged dubby-groove that's got elements of Mosquitoes, CIA Debutante and Sewer Election written into it. Suitably murky and mildly unhinged. Very classy presentation, too. Edition of 120
