No Trend - You Deserve Your Life

One of the more stylishly presented records we've had in the shop in recent times, which is saying something. And fitting too, since No Trend always carried themselves with a certain unique intent - 'the eyes are the window to the soul' they scream, and this sleeve is, too: elegant but frenetic darkness that demands to standa alone. There's a lot of rage in here - there's a good few scene heads taking both barrels for sure - but also real style. That rhythm section is sexy as hell. These tracks all harken from the band's first Inner Ear sessions in '83, most of which have never been on vinyl before, and two live cuts never otherwise recorded. Essential, highly evolved  (anti?) hardcore that doesn't tread the familiar path - there's as much No Wave and PIL in here as there is Flipper and Scratch Acid. Always found it hard to locate NT in the UK, so it's a pleasure to have in store.
