Latest long player from Joshua Abrams' Natural Information Society ensemble, who continue down their established path of krautrock-derived post-jazz flexing. As the title might suggest, this one's of a slightly more stoned-like quality, less frantic and propulsive than 2021 break out Ascension, instead leaning into a kind of smoky, borderline psychedelic take on Organic Music Society. Perhaps it's the connection with Bitchin' Bajas that's done it (the two groups are a pair of collaborative albums deep now), resulting in a kind of inner gazing, reflective approach that suggests the presence of a few plumes of a certain odour and psilocybin of a particular strain were present while recording. Wrong or right, this one will land well with anyone set on some inner-world journeying.
