"HOW TO MONETISE MENTAL ILLNESS". That's what it says on the Bandcamp page for Lost Domain, the latest project from Low Company/Blackest Ever Black powerhouse, Kiran Sande. So that's what he's been up to... It's not the worst business model for these current times, what with anxiety being the biggest natural resource we have and the language of therapy the new lexicon of our age (our weakness is some of your business). Leeway make some headway in harnessing that power with these ten tracks of busied claustrophobia and paranoia, split somewhere between IDM glitch, tekno grit and eski bounce. Mark Fell via Slimzee kinda ting with the emphasis very much on DREAD. Hypoxia is the name given to a medical condition whereby the muscles are deprived of oxygen, resulting in restlessness, confusion, difficulty breathing, all those wonderful symptoms that also double as positive descriptors for fwd-facing, doom-laced electronic music of this nature. This is ruthless business from Leeway, punishing, relentless, and highly cerebral without giving the sense of giving a fck about such things. Quite possibly sick, and not in the idiomatic way, though perhaps not the simplest thing to turn into gold either, which is as it turns out just how we like it.
