Jessica Pratt’s 2012 self-titled debut album is a folk collection recorded in 2007 on analogue tape and released through Birth Records. It features intimate, minimalistic songs with delicate fingerpicked acoustic guitar and Pratt’s quavering, raw vocals. The album has a homespun, timeless quality reminiscent of 60s folk and early 2000s freak folk, with a lo-fi aesthetic that emphasizes personal and unassuming songwriting.
