Glasgow underground mainstays Conal Blake and Murray Collier unite as Inweys for a self-titled debut 12” of abstracted electronics that combine dub process with a Mika Vianio/Sahko attitude to fried and mutated sonics. Genuinely really highly evolved gear this, driven by a kind of freeform punk instinct (we’ll do whatever we want, yeah) and an intuitive understanding of experimental electronic music that’s both adventurous and highly listenable. You won't be able to dance to this, but you can get nicely toasted, all burned-at-the-edges frequencies, charred analogue sound and inventive rhythm. The Inweys sound from way out. They’re calling it ‘broken body music’. Don’t bet against it.
