Domino celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hood's seminal album Cold House with a double LP and CD reissue, out 13th November.
Cold House witnessed the band move to new heights, merging their slowcore, post-rock and folk influences with intricate, atmospheric IDM shaped production and abstract rap from cLOUDdEAD's Dose-One and Why? 25 years on, it remains as innovative as it is catchy, and genuinely sounds like very little else. The mixture of organic acoustic and sharpened electronic instrumentation remains uniquely fresh, and the shadow of its influence can be seen across a whole range of contemporary music.
This special anniversary edition comes with a booklet with a new artist interview conducted by Simon Reynolds alongside his original review of the record from 2001 and photos from Hood's own archive. A World of Echo exclusive is also available which includes an Inner World mixtape compiled by the band, and is limited to 100 copies.
