Red raw ghettotech/footwork action outta Detroit courtesy of Omar-S' FXHE imprint. As per, this kind of thing comes with very little biography, though a little research reveals Hi Tech to be the work of duo Milf Melly and King Milo, and this their debut outing. You'd not need me to tell you this is their first record, the energy and ideas overflowing, and the sense of dropping in on a series of private jokes. From the Motor City it might be, but there's big nods to Chicago, the thumbprints of DJ Rashad, Spinn and especially Nate (that'll be the ghettotech) all across it. If Melly and Milo are making glances towards the greats, they're also instilling their own personality, in that same kinda self-determining way their label boss does. The confidence is well placed.
