OOF that B side...
"Side A sees the Friendly guys return with a tightly wound selection of the 80's ambient post-punk electronics and new wave sheen that inspired them to start their monthly radio show. The back of the record bin and big crossover hits nestle side-by-side here as they should and always shall. A mix that's equal parts aggy, knotty and cute, what starts with tape hiss and reverb ends somewhere quite different altogether.
Thomas Bush, an avant-pop impressionist from London, UK, takes over for Side B. The mix is entitled Robert Miles and the New Climatic Regime, and sonically it tells a story as uncanny as its title. In places there is pensive ambience, but the sound of grassy electronics pervades, with detours past tender pop and otherworldly renditions shimmering in the distance. The appearance of Thomas' voice finally ties the journey back to his own sound."
