Think we last heard Russian producer Evgenii Fadeev feature as part of the Serwed collab on West Mineral last year, and he returns here with a third record under the Flaty moniker for his own ANWO imprint. Abandon the West Mineral associations for this one, as this is a far busier, hyper affair. Gone for the most part are the gltich-y, decayed aesthetics of that Serwed record, replaced with an array of insectoid, future-forward electronics, a little mutated-dubstep, fractured breakbeat and some classic headbending IDM sonics. It hits a clear peak on the synth-delayed dub techno of Rotation-60, which i'd happily take at least double of its 4minutes. Very much of the Event Horizon style of modern electronic music - aka haunted deep space technological failure. There's a subgenre i can get behind. Expect to see that appear in your next automated algorithmic Spotify playlist.
