First time vinyl pressing of a tape released way back in 2008, the second of two live recordings released on cassette that document very early Nace activity. Solo Guitar 1 i can't speak for - a recording that appears to lead a somewhat elusive & mythical life - but One Note is a visceral and head-bending introduction to his particular style of cataclysmic, ectoplasmic guitar noise pollutions. The title tells no lies - this is just Nace and his guitar (though the credits also list him as playing 'objects'), alone at the altar, opening the gates of hell, or heaven, depending on your perspective. We're very much in Branca & Licht country here, fiery distortions, bubbling static and metallic clang that arises from the world of improv but has obvious times to avant rock and noise aesthetics. The sound of your brain in the pit of your stomach. Proper gut-wrenching, convulsive listening. Edition of 300, in very nicely put together hand-assembled sleeves.
