Is this jazz? Yes, it is jazz. It's also psycho-meltdown, fried-synapse, psychedelic improv that's about as art damaged as... the last thing i heard on Radical Documents. The product of a 'complex web of relationships' (aren't we all?) that resulted in a New York rendezvous for four outliers from the outer limits of the improv & art world, this is pretty much everything you'd expect of a record with those origins and that title. In terms of contemporaries, fans of the crazy-prolific output of Crazy Doberman will be easily drawn here, blasted as this is with the same wild and free spirit. Music in service to only the people in the room. As good as it might be, you don't need to see this live, because this record exists. Ruthless.
