Super glitchy, polyrhythmic collab between the ever-present Valentina Magaletti and Goat (jp)'s Koshiro Hino under his YPY pseudonym. What else to say about Magaletti's drumming other than that it's typically turned up and inspired, the usual masterclass in restless experimentation and inventive detours. Hino's contributions, which range from Raster Noton-like abstracted electronics to razorsharp IDM excursions, send the whole thing into deeper cerebral territory, akin to something resembling the clinical fluidity of those seemingly endless Autechre NTS sessions or Beatrice Dillon's collab with Call Super for Hessle Audio. They're clearly having fun too, a track like 'Interlude for Fog Days' scurrying around like Richard D James on an industrial flex. Limb bending, head-extending action for all the terminators out there. I'd be tempted to label it post-human were Magaletti not such a real one. Gold star once again.
