Second self-released 12 from the London duo of Duncan Thonrley and Laurence Horstman, who follow up the industrial clang of their previous single with a drive down the M32 and deep into the civic heritage of Bristol, with four tracks of dub-heavy, highly pressurised warheads. As i was away when this first landed two weeks back (never go on 'holiday', it's just not worth it), I first heard this via Trevor Jackson's NTS show, and it makes complete sense - this is the kind of prime sub-bass driven metal machine music Jackson has been all over for years. All killer, but the title track and closer, Heavy Metal Bathtub, are the standouts for me, capturing the murky metallic dystopian thrill of WW at their best.
