Super rare promo version of Hurley's fantastical outsider folk classic from '72, replete with the magical comic and the promotional insert. There are so many animals, both mythological and real, in Michael Hurley songs, you'd be a stone not to love him. A different take on the horror of the countryside, you could say, like a tattoo shop in the forest, a moonshine river and peyote sunset, wolves always at the door. Monsters always within... (there’s a little crackle in the quiet moments but Hurley without the crackle doesn’t seem right tbqh)
