One of our Best of 2020 titles - 2024 repress
Here's what we said back in '20: Given the Desire repress in 2013 is now selling for just as much as the original, consider this reissue of the only Ike Yard album to be released during their first incarnation as a gift, and with it a striking blueprint for minimal techno that's not aged a second. Monoton's first is perhaps the closest reference point, though this is a little harder, aggressive in that Cabs Steel City way. There's a lot of competition, but I'm not gonna argue with anyone who considers this the best thing Factory did. Gonna play this at the end of the world party. This should have never been allowed to go out of print.
