7" import - 45 rpm, 100 hand-numbered copies. Risograph printed cover by BEAST Studio. Large center hole, disco sleeve.
Highly turned-up new first foray on to vinyl for Eternal Music Society, the Malmo-based four piece who count Neutral/Leda's Sofie Herner amongst their ranks. There's trace elements of Neutral's anti-formalist no wave impulses, though we're mostly in riff-heavy motorik country, locked-in and looped in a way that'll mostly the ring the bells of those who've got loose to the likes of Moin, Trans Am, The Shipping News, or even Neu with their hair let down. Thee space rock n roll basement hypnotics of the kind that's arguably too outsized for the 7" but works perfectly here as a window into a band with an ability to flex. The kinda band you wanna be in the same room as and these recordings do a sterling job of emulating that feeling while you hang around waiting for that to happen. Edition of 100, hence the ££.
FFO: Trans Am, Neu, The Shipping News, Neutral, Moin
