As with the JD Twitch mixtape in 2021 and the O Yuki Conjugate selection from 2022, we're choosing to mark this year's Record Store Day with the release of another cassette, this time a ten track collection from San Francisco's The Reds, Pinks & Purples. WOE regulars will be well familiar with Glenn Donaldson's remarkably prolific output, and will discern in those records not just a distinct voice but an enquiring ear also - no doubt Donaldson has spent some significant time digging the crates and trawling the megahertz. You Know You're Burning Someone is a fitting expression of that experience, ten lovingly selected covers that trace fandom and inspiration, rendered in Donaldson's characteristically "enveloping ennui". You'll more than likely recognise the original, but you'll mostly recognise The Reds, Pinks & Purples.
