7"
First IDDB 7" in a short while and also the first new music from Troth since that great Oak Corridor record on Knekelhuis from however many months ago. I lose track. Whatever, you don't often come across music of this ilk on IDDB - mostly favouring scarbarous, drone-y, static drenched experimentation or lo-fi avant folk expressions - and it's refreshing to again get a grip on the kinda synthpop as imagined circa the blogs of the late noughties, ala Nite Jewel, Maria Minerva et al. I could easily see this cropping up on 100% Silk or No Pain In Pop way back when. But since it's 2022, there's a little summat else a happening, too, ushering in some of that dreamy Aussie oddness that Carla dal Forna first brought our way. So yeah, purgatorial pop music transmissions from a future that never arrived. Bliss to be revived.
