NAP - Intima
First 7" on Experiences, and with it a minor change in direction. There's barely a trace of the broken electronics and glitchy ambience which has made the label so collectible (honestly, this stuff is usually gone before we can put it out), and in its place NAP's style of downtempo electronica that's got one foot in the awake-in-the-dream stylings of Stroom (very much like that Smalts 7") and the other somewhere in Bristol in the early 90s, albeit whilst coquettishly speaking Spanish... It was only a matter of time before trip hop made a reapperance, right? There's also a partial similarity to PAN's Mono No Aware comp, perhaps in the spoken-word delivery, which reminded me of those Malibu and Yves Tumor tracks. Killer shift up for the label, showing there's way more going on then we might have assumed. V. limited as per.
