Latest represses of, quite simply, some of the best albums ever made. Genre be damned. Someone as deeply uncool as I would never allow these to go out of print, but I'll admit the "sorry no longer available" switch and bait is a perfect foil to the afterhours mystery-man persona allure Kenny Dixon has generated over the last several decades. Tied to a period for sure, but equally also the kind of elegant sense of feeling and, well, vibe that stands outside of all time. Can't split between them, the title tracks on each the calling card high water mark of meaningful, inter-genre synthesis that's as much in the spirit of Miles and Coltrane as it is Larry and Theo. Grab them while they're still willing to take your calls...
