Sprinkles re-works of WIll Long's Acid Trax finally start to make their way to vinyl, beginning with two tracks culled from the 2024 dbl CD, also originally on Comatonse. Long's original of 'Acid Trax N' features on the A, a characteristically sleek beast with a little Parrish-styled jazz-inflected deep house softened out the edges. On the B, Sprinkles refines ever further, supple, sensual and supremely poised in ways you'd hope would loop for double the time. Both expert and highly addictive, and evidence of two of current best in symbiosis. And take this also as a reminder to delve into Long's recent double LP, a more than sturdy contender for 2025's best so far.
