Tori Kudo & 3C123 - s/t

First time vinyl pressing of a Tori Kudo and 3C123 live session, first released to tape in 2023. Even within our understandings of the more outre expressions of the An'archives universe, this one feels like an especially unique union, Tori Kudo performing Satie piano pieces while 3C123 improvises wild-n-free clarinet. It's an arresting confluence of familiar, intricate beauty and hard-edge physical impulse that registers high on the active listening scale. As the contrasting tones clash and disrupt, the listener engages, drawn into the maelstrom, somehow soothed and ruffled all at once, not quite able to predict where the ear will be drawn to, not dissimilar to Tony McPhee's 'Cosmic Love', but that's about the only comparison I can conjure right now. True improv, I'd suppose, beauty and chaos in close-knit disharmony.
