Double LP
Eat Your Own Ears Recordings, a label formed by the esteemed London-based music promoters Eat Your Own Ears (who work with the likes of Four Tet, Caribou, Charlotte Adigéry, Mount Kimbie, Michelle Gurevich, Anna Calvi, RIDE, Sylvan Esso and many many others), release a limited edition double vinyl compilation featuring "EP 1" and "EP 2" for the first time on vinyl, alongside a brand new track from Guinean musician Falle Nioke as well as a hidden gems from recently reformed shoegazers Cranes, and Caribou.
This exclusive compilation brings together the innovative and diverse sounds that have defined Eat Your Own Ears over the past two decades. The beautifully foil stamped limited double vinyl includes tracks from RIDE (a re-work of their seminal track ‘Vapour Trail’ from The Cure’s Robert Smith), Four Tet (‘Scythe Master', written specifically for this compilation) and Caribou (hidden gem ‘Sunsesame’ on vinyl for the very first time), plus many more. The artwork is a collaboration between long standing EYOE designer Tom Phillips and artist and screen-printer Tazelaar Stevenson.
Eat Your Own Ears Recordings are thrilled to be working with new signing Falle Nioke, who contributes a brand new track, ‘Weatherman’. This transcendent piece blends traditional African rhythms with contemporary electronic soundscapes, showcasing Nioke's unique ability to bridge cultural gaps with his music. The recently reformed Cranes also add a previously unheard version of "Fragile," featuring Alison Shaw’s ethereal vocals over minimalist instrumentation.
