Headroom - Equinox 20

It was surely only a matter of time before this lot turned out something for IDDB's 7" series, a pairing so obvious i'm surprised it's taken this long. If you needed any further evidence there's an uncanny connection between New Haven, Gothenburg and New Zealand, here it is. Ecstatic, elegiac, obtuse guitar drone nirvana that's as old as the hills and fresher than the grass that adorn them. The manipulation of noise, drone and feedback as a transgressive act and all that. Headroom in a nutshell, really. And whoever gets tired of that kind of thing? This is essentially one track split across the two sides, and while i'm not entirely convinced the 7" is the best format for the band, you're not gonna hear these songs anywhere else and it's obviously super limited, so... Mostly, Headroom, like say Brannten Schnure or Mosquitoes, are one of those bands so singularly in and of themselves you wanna own everything they do, regardless of suitability of format. So do what you gotta do.
