SSIEGE - dreamy pads of insecurity

Best yet from Sagome with this first time physical release of SSIEGE's dreamy pads of insecurity, a 30+ minute track first released as a download by Bus Editions in 2022. It's presented as a single piece, though it flows more like a series of discrete electronic motifs and ambient vignettes tied together as one immersive whole. Like say with the Enchante/RAP crew, this very much feels like music of the afterhours/early morning variety, nocturnal emissions in which various images and impressions of the lonely city are held within. There's a touch of early OPN in the glassy synth sounds, though this is music that feels more emotional than conceptual - let's call it a feeling more than an idea. Sad sack music for those caught in the eerie grey of the 4am, between the night and day. It's been on repeat here near constantly since it billowed in the door, which says just as much about my state of mind as it does the music. Either way, take it as the genuine endorsement it is. Masterful stuff.
