DJ Trystero - Null-A

Excellent return to Trilogy Tapes for DJ Trystero, who first debuted for the label back in the lost time of 2020. As was the case back then, information on who's involved is a little thin on the ground, and as we now by now, TTT aren't renowned for detail explication. The track titles are in Japanese, so i'll take it on face value that's the point of origin. I also see from Instagram that Trystero has some social crossover with West Mineral and DJ Python, and honestly that's not a totally terrible way of assessing what's going on with Null-A, with it's melding of the textural bliss of Huerco S and the heatsick rhythms of Brian Pineyro, and the whole thing wouldn't have sounded completely alien rubbing shoulders with the Chain Reaction set. Which in short equates to high end submerged dubby (dub-merged?) minimal techno that either feels dredged up from the ocean or adrift on a cloud, depending of course on where you might be in your journey through the back rooms of the night. Best on Trilogy Tapes in a while, which is saying something from the label that never misses.
