Archival collection number two of experimental outpourings from French industrialist, Thierry Mérigout, whose three decades plus of musical expulsions display a penchant for the more evasive and maladjusted impulses of art-damaged electronics. Those thirty years of activity in the underground begat the inhaling of a distinctly European arthouse sensibility - the work with Wim Wenders aint for nothing - and the music feels suitably subversive and provocative as a result. Mechanical, crunching instrumentals and rawly rendered EBM transgressions rub shoulders with more ghostly, glazed ambient compositions overlaid with answer-machine dialogue transmitted from some unreachable purgatory. Unsettling business all told, not least because the scattered nature of the tracklisting implies a madness, schizo-urges dispatched from the yawning void. Make it all the way to final track, Chiken Kitchen, and you'll be rewarded with the visceral uniting of power electronic extremism, industrial clang and drone hypnotism that's as mesmerising as it is absurd, and utterly unique for it. Something's wrong here, and it's absolutely right.
