Brannten Schnüre - Durch Unser Zugedecktes Tal

WTF is going on? It's the final days of the year, and yet these absolutely crucial new releases keep stacking up. Along with Raime, Brain Pilot and that new Mosquitoes 7" this week, Brannten Schnüre make a late play for one of the records of the year with what's actually their second of 2019. Honestly, I might go as far to say this is one of the best bands in the world right now. The previous records were true monuments in their singularity, but i think they've hit a new peak with Durch Unser Zugedecktes Tal. We're still talking Nico fronting Popol Vuh, conjuring liminal spaces in the midst of haunted forests and snowy wildernesses, but here they seem more transportative than ever. This is music to get lost in, to bury yourself to. The more you listen to them, the less knowable they are. Truly special music. Super limited, sold out at source i believe. Be quick.
