The second tape from All Gone this week is by Autumn Casey, a Miami-based musician previously notable for her stints in hardcore duo Snakehole. The change in approach is stark. Gone are the redline blitz exorcisms in favour of something far more interesting and unique. As is fitting of the tape format it finds itself on, Your Own Entertainment Channel is split into two parts. Side A is comprised of the one twelve minute title track, a goth-y piano piece with hints of the isolationist ambience of Peter Jefferies On An Unknown Beach but with a more showy sense of virtuosity (there are numerous repeated trills throughout). The second side is a wholly different affair, eleven minutes of ectoplasmic expulsions, a series of discordant ideas running into one another in classic New York No Wave style - somewhere between Lydia Lunch, Mars and early Liars and Black Dice. Nicely toasted, inscrutable art damage. Keep stacking 'em high. Edition of 50. Sold out at source.
