There's an insectoid like otherness to these six tracks, whether in the short or long form, a Jovian brew of decayed loops, field recordings, tape hiss dissonance and brutish but uncanny Fourth World melodicism that keeps you coming back to locate an implacable centre. The kind of shadow without origin sound that fans of Spencer Clark's post-Skaters output will find huge value in, as well as anyone who's done waiting for further excavations of the Darrell DeVore archives.
