Torn Hawk back with the scorched VHS aesthetic. Six slaves to the night sliding through greased backstreets with the top down and nose fully powdered. A24 would kill to make something look as convincing as this sounds, so on-point is the debauched cocaine cowboy aesthetic Torn Hawk has consistently nailed down. The song titles do a good deal of the heavylifting - 'Dirty Black Satin', 'Point Break Font' - but it's the police sirens on 'Oh Yeah (Cop Collab)' that steal the show. Torn Hawk has been at it a while now, but there's no diminishing returns here and remains a huge salve for anyone feeling the absence of that early Ford & Lopatin Software sound run through a mashed Brad Friedel preset. Drugged, bugged and slugged. Ideal.
