Chance arrival of a handful of copies of the Zaumne debut from 2018, released via the once extremely prolific Czaszka imprint, who you might also know for having turned out an early CIA Debutante tape. Zaumne's LP for Sferic a few weeks back might have been the first time the Polish producer landed on the radar of most, though Emo Dub affirms his interests have been nailed down from the start. We're talking post-club, ASMR attuned ambience that keeps one foot in last night and the other searching out terra firma in the coming light of tomorrow. Afterhours dreamy bliss with a touch of emotional manipulation, essentially, which is a pretty apt way of understanding the vapour trails of chemical imbalance that colour the inbetween hours of such nocturnal pursuits.
