Hobbies Galore at the double this week with this debut cassette by Fin Healy arriving alongside the Possible Humans LP. Unlike his label pals, Healy's is a new name to me, though a cursory dig around online tells me he also plays guitar in hardcore-adjacent, post-punkers Nervous Tension. He retains the guitar on Yet It Moves, but moves with it in a very different direction, channelling Loren Connors/Alan Licht influenced ambi-guitar atonality and Gottsching-esque improvisations built around repeated phrases. Because it's on Hobbies Galore, you can be sure of a few hidden idiosyncrasies and left turns, tracks like 'Penumbra' and 'Bird Land' instilled with an inherent eeriness that feels frequently characteristic of the label. Tis after all the right season for it.
